Although NAMPO Cape is essentially an agricultural expo, there is no reason why the women cannot also enjoy a visit to NAMPO Cape.

The Afgri Women’s Program is presented daily from Wednesday to Friday from 09:30 to 12:30 in the tent on the lawn in front of the BKB exhibition centre. Sonja de Beer of “Kokkedoor” fame talks about seasons and food; Jannie Moolman, well-known South African singer performs  well-known Afrikaans and English songs; motivational speaker Elsabe Aldrich will inspire, encourage and above all entertain the guests with her humour and wit and Rico Summers, winemaker of Van Loveren shares some secrets about wine and food that complement each other.

This year, for the first time from 14 to 17 September 2022, NAMPO Cape also offers a walk-in beauty salon, where every woman can relax and enjoy the treatment(s) of her choice at NAMPO Cape Beauty. Eight talented beauty experts from Bredasdorp will join forces to pamper the fairer sex from head to toe while the men are visiting the agricultural exhibitions.

NAMPO Cape Beauty is on the ground floor of the Santam Auditorium and will offer the following treatments:
1. Massages
2. Tint and Wax
3. Gelish Nails
4. Makeup consultations
5. Synergy aesthetic massage therapy
6. Hair salon
7. Beauty and hair products exhibition

In addition to the beauty products for sale at stalls in the salon, there is also a large selection of jewellery, art, baked goods, canned goods, interior decoration, clothes, flowers and much more for the ladies to enjoy.

Remember to visit the Nedbank flower arrangement exhibition in the Voermol Hall. This year’s exhibition under the able guidance of Marjolijn Malan is Networking with Nature and it promises to be once again a spectacle of floral splendour. Also, don’t forget to vote for your favourite arrangement in the Fifty Shades of Green flower arrangement competition.

Another new addition to the NAMPO Cape menu is the Elim Fynbos exhibition in the Shell Hall. Visitors will be able to enjoy a representation of 200 species from the Elim area. The flowers are depicted as they grow in their natural habitat.

The Elim Board of Supervisors is responsible for the exhibition and the tea garden where visitors will be able to enjoy Overberg delicacies. There are also stalls where art and cultural products produced in Elim and fresh fynbos flowers are offered for sale.

Tickets are only available online at www.ticketpros.co.za or your local SPAR. Prices are R80 for adults and R40 for school-going children. Preschool children enter for free. The expo runs from Wednesday, 14 to Friday, 17 September from 08:00 to 17:00 and Saturday, 17 September from 08:00 – 14:00. Visitors can contact the Cape Agulhas Tourism Office on 028 424 2584/082 896 2225 or visit www.overberg-info.co.za for accommodation.
