ABC Hansen has been active in the agricultural industry in Africa since the early 1990s and is especially known for the quality grain silo projects erected throughout Africa, as well as the iconic Hippo hammer mills and feed mills.
ABC Hansen also manufactures handling equipment, towers, walkways, and all grain-handling and related equipment, and imports a wide range of equipment for value-adding in the agricultural sector.
In the meantime, ABC Hansen has expanded its focus to better serve its core market by including silo bag loaders and unloaders, as well as the bags themselves and silage equipment.
This includes the remarkable Nogueira silage choppers from Brazil, which are row-independent and have working widths between 1 000 mm and 2 500 mm, as well as single- and double-row choppers, silage bag loaders, and the bags themselves.
A further need that ABC Hansen has addressed has arisen from the fact that especially small-scale maize farmers would like to harvest their own maize, but self-propelled harvesters are simply too expensive and second-hand machines require costly maintenance and often come with the frustrations of older, more affordable models.
As a result, a compact, exceptionally well-designed tractor-driven harvester is now also available. The Combine maize harvester from Brazil feeds the maize plants in with drag chains, just like the large harvesters, and significantly less waste is experienced compared to auger feed systems, including lower maintenance. The range is available in one- and two-row models.
An additional gap in the market for stone collectors has arisen due to the withdrawal of several manufacturers, but ABC Hansen now offers the exceptional range of Kivi Pekka stone collectors from Finland to all farming operations where stony fields limit excellent yield potential.
The Kivi Pekka has working widths of 3 metres, 5 metres, and 7 metres, and requires only about 60 to 80 kW of tractor power.

This is the top-performing stone collector globally. It removes stones between 30 mm (adjustable down to 20 mm) and up to a maximum diameter of 500 mm from a field. The best-selling model is the 5-metre collector, which ABC Hansen keeps in stock. Other models can be supplied at short notice.
ABC Hansen 9is conveniently located in Pretoria if you would like to view the equipment in person.
