NAMPO Harvest Day remains one of the most important events on the agricultural calendar, where farmers can experience new technology firsthand. This year, LEMKEN once again demonstrated why their implements and equipment are globally recognised for innovation, precision, and reliability.

From soil cultivation to smart seed placement, farmers once again had the opportunity to take a closer look at LEMKEN’s implements, engage with the team, and discover solutions designed to make farming operations more efficient and profitable.

The MultiHub makes it possible to establish fine seed during soil cultivation, allowing multiple operations to be combined into a single pass

LEMKEN introduces brand new MultiHub system at NAMPO

One of the biggest attractions at the LEMKEN stand this year was the new MultiHub system, showcased on the Rubin 10 implement. According to Wessel Vosloo of LEMKEN South Africa, this technology enables farmers to establish seed during soil cultivation, all in a single pass.

The MultiHub is an ISOBUS unit capable of accurately metering fine seed and can be used across various LEMKEN implements. The system operates with an electric metering mechanism and a hydraulic fan that places the seed onto rollers while the implement is working. This allows farmers to save time, reduce fuel consumption, and work more efficiently by combining multiple operations into one pass.

The Rubin 10, on which the system was demonstrated, is equipped with a 645 mm disc and is designed for aggressive, uniform cultivation under various conditions. The Rubin 10 is available in different sizes, including 3 m and 4 m three-point-mounted units, as well as trailed models ranging from 4 m to 7 m.

According to Wessel, the MultiHub is also compatible with other implements in the LEMKEN range, including the Rubin 12 and the Karat, providing farmers with even greater flexibility when it comes to cover crops, fine seed, and other establishment practices.

LEMKEN’s Rubin 10 fitted with the new MultiHub system attracted significant interest from farmers.

Onyx ripper brings new possibilities for farmers

Another major highlight at the LEMKEN exhibit was the introduction and promotion of the new LEMKEN Onyx ripper, now available in both 3 m and 4 m models.

Wessel explains:

“We also have a few new products here, and one of them is the Onyx ripper, which can rip to a working depth of 600 mm. The Onyx has a frame clearance of 90 cm above the ground, which means there is still excellent material flow beneath the frame, even when working at 600 mm depth. There is also a roller at the rear of the ripper that helps break up clods.”

The Onyx is designed to provide farmers with an efficient and practical solution for modern farming practices. Like the rest of the LEMKEN range, the implement focuses on durability, performance, and user-friendly technology that helps farmers increase productivity without unnecessary complexity.

With farmers constantly under pressure to manage input costs while protecting yields, smart implements and multi-purpose solutions are becoming increasingly important.

Don’t miss LEMKEN’s upcoming demonstration days

NAMPO gives farmers the opportunity to see implements up close, but for LEMKEN, it is only the beginning. The team announced that shortly after NAMPO they will begin a series of demonstration days across the country, allowing farmers to experience their implements and equipment, including the Onyx, in their own fields and under their own farming conditions.

“It is always great to see the implements at NAMPO, but it is even better to see how they perform in your own soil, possibly even with your own tractor. We invite everyone to join us at our demonstration days,” Wessel concluded.

For many farmers, the value of the exhibition was not only in the implements itself, but also in the opportunity to speak directly with the LEMKEN team about applications, practices, and solutions for specific farming challenges.
