Seeing is believing. That is what Mahindra’s people believe and that is why they made a new Mahindra Scorpio-N sports utility vehicle available to ProAgri so that farmers across the country can see for themselves what this vehicle is all about.

Mahindra has been an established brand in the South African vehicle industry for many years and has made a name for itself here since 2004 with their series of SUV’s and stalwart Pik Up bakkies that are produced locally in Durban.

Few people realise how big Mahindra really is. Since 2010, Mahindra has been the world’s largest tractor manufacturer.

The new Mahindra Scorpio is here, now to the power of N!

In mathematical terms “to the power of N” represents an ever expanding number of possibilities. That is the goal Mahindra is reaching for with the new Scorpio-N.

At the handover of the Scorpio-N by the Mahindra Alberton / Raceview car group to the ProAgri team was Bianca Henning, Managing Editor of ProAgri; Gert Erasmus, Sales Mahindra Alberton; Floris Grobler, Mahindra New Car Sales Manager; Johan Swartz, Marketing ProAgri; Elmari Potgieter, Marketing Manager; and Zelda Bothma, Marketing Assistant of Mahindra Alberton / Raceview car group.

Mahindra’s well-known and robust Scorpio model has been a familiar sight on South African roads for quite some time. The Scorpio is indeed one of Mahindra’s top sellers in the country.

The brand-new Mahindra Scorpio-N is much more than just a new face of the previous version. It is a completely new design with a new lightweight chassis and many new safety features.

The Mahindra Scorpio-N is long, sleek, luxurious, and with new lights and a grille that also features Mahindra’s new “Twin-Peaks” emblem.

The newcomer boasts a shiny jacket. Long, sleek, luxurious and with new lights and grille that also bears Mahindra’s new “Twin-Peaks” emblem. The scorpion’s “sting” is visible in a sleek chrome line around the side back windows and around the fog lights.

The stylish layout of the Scorpio-N’s interior cabin and the use of the durable materials inside provide a facelift for the new Scorpio-N.

The impressive Mahindra Scorpio-N is not only luxurious, pleasing to the eye and equipped with the latest technology, but there is room for the whole family and more! The Scorpio-N has seven seats covered in neat leather and has enough legroom for the whole family and friends. This capable family ride is not only technologically advanced but also boasts Mahindra’s new generation 2×4 system, 4XPLOR.

The Scorpio-N also boasts extremely economical fuel consumption and is very comfortable on the road.

The Scorpio-N is available in two engine options – a 2-litre TGDi m Stallion turbo petrol engine delivering 150 kW and 380 Nm of torque and the 2.2-litre mHawk turbo diesel option which offers 131 kW and 400 Nm. Both are powered by either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox.

Mahindra Alberton recently sponsored one of the new Scorpio-N SUVs for use by  ProAgri’s team, to show its sting to farmers across the country.

“We are very excited about teaming up with ProAgri and we hope that it will be a long partnership to introduce South Africans to our new vehicles, specifically suitable for the farming communities,” explains Floris Grobler, Mahindra’s New Car Sales Manager.

The aim of Mahindra Alberton’s sponsorship is to make South Africa and local communities aware of the brand new, luxurious, and modern Scorpio-N, but also to provide a service to agriculture.
