Our primary focus was the 50th anniversary of the pioneering CR Twin Rotor technology, marking five decades of harvesting innovation that transformed global agriculture and empowered South African farmers. New Holland continues to deliver consistently excellent products over many decades: from the first Twin Rotor combine family in 1975 to today’s latest CR PLMi units and the new, unmatched CR10 that was launched at NAMPO and NAMPO Cape respectively.
After the unveiling of the CR10, demonstrations were done in the Overberg region, reinforcing the legacy of efficiency and productivity. Undeniably, the Twin Rotor technology has set the benchmark for harvesting performance.
Braud: A true milestone in viticulture engineering
Secondly, and equally important, New Holland celebrated the 50th anniversary of Braud self-propelled grape harvesters, honouring a half-century of innovation that has transformed vineyard operations worldwide and across South Africa’s wine regions.
The latest Braud 8.50L narrow model was also launched at NAMPO Cape 2025, offering next-generation harvesting efficiency, operator comfort, and sustainability. Braud has always been, from the first self-propelled machines in 1975 to today’s advanced models, a true milestone in viticulture engineering.
At NAMPO and NAMPO Cape, South African farmers experienced Raven’s latest GPS guidance, variable-rate application, and autonomous field operations, driving efficiency and sustainability. New tools for real-time analytics and connectivity empowered farmers to optimise inputs and improve yields under diverse local conditions.
Live demonstrations and training sessions at major agricultural events showcased Raven’s commitment to supporting South Africa’s transition to smarter, climate-resilient farming.This year has been pivotal for Raven in South Africa, as we continue to deliver cutting-edge solutions that help farmers achieve more with less.
The latest T7 tractor range was also further introduced during the year at various shows and farmer days, marking a new era of power, precision, and sustainability for local farmers.
The T7.315 Heavy Duty (HD) Model led the top, delivering unmatched horsepower and advanced precision farming integration. The Mid-Range T7 Units are versatile models from 180 to 220 hp (132 to 162 kW), equipped with Tier 3 NEF engines.

New Holland shines on big farmer days
During the Balfour Hay Day, the focus was on the Big Baler 1290 High Density (HD) baler, which makes heavy bales for export and contracting purposes. The TH7.32 Telehandler also featured, as it’s the perfect machine for moving and stacking big bales – and they’re designed to boost productivity and efficiency for local farmers.
Val Farmers Day was an excellent platform to demonstrate how New Holland’s big tractors deliver both power and smart technology, empowering farmers to achieve more. These large-frame tractors showcased strength and reliability, specially designed for demanding field operations. The demonstrations emphasised fuel efficiency, precision integration, and productivity gains tailored to modern South African agriculture.
There was no time to launch the new T4FS orchard tractor range during 2025, as the units, that arrived late in November, were immediately distributed to the farmers who’d already ordered them. The T4FS (Fruit & Specialty) tractors are engineered for narrow rows and confined spaces, making them ideal for South Africa’s vineyards and orchards.
The comfort of operators has been advanced with improved ergonomics, visibility, and cab options designed for long working hours in specialised environments. The T4FS range represents New Holland’s dedication to specialised farming, offering South African tractors to fruit and wine producers’ that combine compact design, power, and sustainability.
