The New Holland T4FS tractor range represents a strategic blend of simplicity, performance, and affordability tailored for specialty crop producers.
Designed with the needs of orchard and vineyard operators in mind, the T4FS series delivers robust functionality in a compact, manoeuvrable package – ideal for navigating tight rows and challenging terrain.
A heritage of innovation
The T4FS range is the latest evolution in New Holland’s specialty tractor lineup and is assembled at the company’s state-of-the-art facility in Turkey. This plant has become a hub for producing compact and utility tractors for global markets, combining European engineering standards with cost-effective manufacturing.
The T4FS series draws on the legacy of the T4 VNF (Vineyard, Narrow, and Fruit) models, integrating proven features from the T4S and T5S utility lines to create a simplified yet capable machine.
Engineered for efficiency
At the heart of the T4FS range are two engine options: a 3-cylinder 55 kW unit that requires no AdBlue, and a 4-cylinder FPT F5C engine available in 63, 73 and 81 kW variants. These engines are known for their high torque at low RPM, ensuring quiet and fuel-efficient operation – ideal for long days in the field. The 4-cylinder models use New Holland’s ECOBlue™ HI-eSCR Tier 4B aftertreatment system, which is neatly tucked under the hood to maintain a low profile and excellent visibility.
Engine Speed Management (ESM) is available across the range, allowing operators to set and maintain precise RPMs at the push of a button – particularly useful for power take-off (PTO)-driven tasks such as spraying or trimming.
Transmission and driveline options
The T4FS tractors come standard with a 12×12 Synchro Shuttle transmission, with the option to upgrade to a Power Shuttle for clutchless direction changes. A creeper gear package is also available for ultra-low-speed operations. PTO options include 540, 540E, and 1 000 RPM, with front PTO available on the higher horsepower models.
Axle configurations are diverse, catering to a wide range of applications. The entry-level T4.80FS offers 2WD or standard 4WD, while the 90, 100 and 110 models can be equipped with New Holland’s patented SuperSteer™ front axle. This allows for tighter turning circles, an essential feature in narrow vineyard rows. Axle widths range from 1,15 m to 1,9 m depending on the model and tire setup.
Hydraulic power and lift capacity
Despite their compact size, T4FS tractors are equipped with dual hydraulic pumps – one for steering and transmission, and a larger one dedicated to lift and remote valves. This ensures consistent oil flow even during high-demand operations. Up to four rear mechanical remotes and two mid-mount spools can be specified, along with free flow returns for front and rear implements.
The rear linkage offers an impressive 2 800 kg lift capacity, while the optional front linkage supports up to 1 800 kg – making the T4FS suitable for a wide range of implements and attachments.
Operator comfort and safety
The T4FS range offers both rollover protective structures (ROPS) and cab configurations. The cab models feature a six-pillar design with a long, curved windshield for excellent visibility. Inside, operators benefit from a flat deck, suspended pedals, and an air-suspended seat. Controls are ergonomically placed on low-profile side consoles, improving comfort and reducing fatigue during long shifts.
A standout feature is the optional Blue Cab™ 4 filtration system, which provides Category 4 protection against dust, pollen, and chemical sprays. Operators can switch between CAT 2 and CAT 4 filtration modes to extend filter life and maintain optimal air quality.
A smart investment for specialty growers
With its balance of essential features and affordability, the New Holland T4FS range is an ideal choice for growers seeking a reliable, specialty tractor.
Whether used as a fleet complement or a primary workhorse, the T4FS delivers the power, precision, and comfort needed to thrive in today’s demanding orchard and vineyard environments.
