TIMAGRI’s sprayer range

TIMAGRI attended NAMPO Harvest Day for the first time this year. According to Dries van der Merwe, owner of TIMAGRI, the company focuses on sprayers and offers a complete range of orchard and field sprayers.

“The 3 500-litre sprayer is particularly popular among grain farmers, while citrus growers prefer the 4 000-litre model,” says Dries.

Their boom sprayer range is available in capacities of 600 litres, 800 litres, 1 000 litres, 1 200 litres and 2 000 litres. The spray booms are available in different widths, with the entry-level model featuring a 12 m boom.

TIMAGRI also supplies quality components such as spray nozzles, pumps, control units and other accessories.

At NAMPO, TIMAGRI showcased the various components that farmers can fit to their sprayers, including different spray nozzles and the Nova control panel.

Static moisture meter

“We also offer a static moisture meter for use at silos. If you are purchasing bales, you can take the moisture meter with you and test the bales to ensure you are not buying bales that may rot later. Farmers can also test their maize before harvest,” adds Dries.

The Nova system

Dries explains that the Nova system is mounted on the farmer’s sprayer and is available as the Nova 100, Nova 110 and Nova 200 systems.

These systems are automatic rate control systems that adjust the sprayer output according to the speed at which the tractor is travelling. This ensures uniform application in the field or orchard while saving both time and money. The litres applied per hectare remain constant, regardless of whether the tractor is travelling faster or slower.

The Nova 100 is designed for the variable-rate application function on boom sprayers, while the Nova 110 is specifically developed for orchard and vineyard sprayers. Important information such as application rates, speed, pressure, flow rate and the area already sprayed are displayed by both the Nova 100 and Nova 110.

The largest model in the range is the Nova 200, which is equipped with automatic section control. This feature helps prevent missed areas and overlapping applications.
