At this year’s NAMPO Harvest Day, Rumax once again demonstrated its ability to develop practical and innovative solutions for the modern farmer. This year, the company focused on its extensive range of equipment designed to improve on-farm efficiency.
According to the team, their goal is to provide farmers with access to technology that boosts productivity while keeping operating costs under control.
One of the focus areas at this year’s exhibition was the company’s range of hammer mills and mixers. Rumax offers several models with either diesel or electric drive options, giving producers the flexibility to choose the solution best suited to their operations.
The mixers are available in various capacities, including 15 m³, 9 m³ and 7 m³ models. The 15 m³ and 9 m³ mixers utilise gearbox-driven systems, while the 7 m³ model operates with a chain drive. This variety enables Rumax to provide solutions for both smaller and larger farming enterprises.

Innovative electric drive systems
An interesting development highlighted at NAMPO was Rumax’s electric drive system for mixers. The system enables existing mixers to be converted from conventional power sources to electric drive. With fuel costs continuing to rise, this solution can help producers reduce operating expenses and improve efficiency.
Another highlight was the compact pellet plant. The system combines a hammer mill, mixer and pellet machine into one integrated unit. This solution is particularly suitable for smaller farmers and poultry operations wishing to manufacture their own feed without investing in extensive infrastructure.

Although the compact unit attracted considerable attention, Rumax also offers larger versions of these systems for commercial farming operations with higher production requirements.
The manure spreader was also on display. This machine incorporates precision farming technology and uses satellite data to apply the correct quantities of manure, lime or other products according to soil analysis results. This helps producers achieve more accurate applications. With the addition of a specially designed front attachment that distributes product to both sides, the machine can also be used effectively in vineyards.

Rumax also introduced a new woodchipper powered by petrol, diesel or electric drive systems. This latest addition to the product range provides producers with more options for processing plant material and pruning residues on the farm.
Smart solutions
One of the more unique projects showcased at NAMPO was an auger designed to drill to a depth of 1 m for the installation of soil moisture sensors. According to the team, the project presented several technical challenges during development.
Another new product that generated significant interest was a stainless-steel scale featuring Bluetooth connectivity and an app-based management system. The technology enables producers to monitor and manage data with ease. The scale can be used for various applications, ranging from feed management to livestock weighing.
