Suzuki is a trusted name in the motorcycle world, and more recently, in the vehicle industry too. When you buy a Suzuki, you know you’re getting quality.
At NAMPO 2025, Justin du Toit of Suzuki Safari was eager to tell visitors why he and the Safari Club choose Suzuki as their preferred brand.
The Suzuki Safari Club

The Suzuki Safari Club brings adventure enthusiasts together.
This initiative, a partnership between Africa Expeditions and Suzuki Auto South Africa, unites Suzuki fans for overland adventures across Africa, all made possible by Suzuki’s dependable off-road capabilities.
The club was founded to embrace the untamed spirit of Africa, with Suzuki’s robust engineering as the backbone of every journey.
“There are other cheaper brands out there,” Justin admits, “but Suzuki has proven itself over and over again. It’s a legacy, and the products speak for themselves. For us, it’s simple. Suzuki works, and it lasts. We’ve never had issues with our bikes, and we’ve tested them in Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, and even Tanzania.”
A motorcycle for every need
Suzuki offers a wide range of bikes from quad bikes to long-distance adventure motorcycles. Justin highlighted three standout models that he believes are perfect for agricultural, leisure, and utility use.
Suzuki KingQuad
Suzuki built the world’s first four-wheeled ATV, and with the KingQuad, they’ve once again shown why they’re leaders in this space.
Whether you’re navigating rocky terrain, hauling equipment, or crossing rugged landscapes, there’s a KingQuad built to do the job. With high torque, strong towing capacity, agile handling, and intelligent technology, the KingQuad delivers what farmers and adventurers need from a quad bike.
The range spans from the KingQuad 400 to the powerful KingQuad 750 models.

If you’re looking for a no-fuss bike that gets the job done, Suzuki’s DR200 is the answer.
“In the motorcycle world, we believe in keeping it simple. That’s what makes the DR200 so perfect,” says Justin.
He describes it as a ‘never-say-die’ bike built for farm work and rural terrain. The DR200 combines practical power with all-day comfort to form a reliable, off-road-capable machine.
Its air-cooled, single-cylinder four-stroke engine delivers just the right balance of torque and horsepower for cruising on gravel roads with ease.
“These bikes just don’t stop. Some of them have clocked over 300,000 km in places like Lesotho — on the original engine,” Justin says proudly.
Suzuki DL1050

Finally, Justin introduced the Suzuki DL1050 built for the long haul.
“If you’re after an adventure bike that won’t let you down and won’t drain your wallet, this is it. There’s simply no better value for money,” he says.
The DL1050 comes standard with a two-way quick-shifter system, allowing you to shift up or down without using the clutch lever. When activated, it delivers smooth gear changes and uninterrupted acceleration.
Its advanced traction control and off-road mode help prevent rear-wheel slippage. Riders can choose from three modes to determine how proactively the system limits wheelspin — or switch it off entirely.
Cruise control reduces rider fatigue on long journeys by maintaining a constant speed without needing to use the throttle.
“This may not be the fastest bike on the market, but it’s powerful — and an absolute kilometre-eater. Whether you’re heading to town or embarking on a 1 000-kilometre adventure through Africa, this is the bike for you,” Justin says.
