At Elandsvallei Sitrus in the Ohrigstad area, farm manager Ian Otto and his team took on a unique challenge. The section of the farm dedicated to game farming is situated in the mountains and has an abundance of water – and because of this, they started an exciting new project by planting naartjie trees.
The idea was simple: bring the water down and start the project lower down. The only major challenge for the farm’s two naartjie varieties, RHM and AR9, is the cold.
Elim Fertilizers and BRANDT products are already well known on the farm and have now become a permanent part of the farming operation’s spray programme. Watch the video for more information.
