The annual National Meatmaster Ram and Ewe Auction, held on 13 and 14 August 2025 at the Bloemfontein Showgrounds, once again confirmed its place as one of the major highlights on the auction calendar.
With exceptional prices achieved for both rams and ewes, this year’s auction clearly demonstrated why the Meatmaster has become one of the most sought-after meat breeds in South Africa.
The most expensive Ram, Lot 55 from Ochre Meatmaster, sold for R82 000 to Nu Vino and the most expensive ewe, Lot 49A from Model Meatmasters sold for R65 000 to Yield Agri Investments.
