At the Pleroma family farming enterprise, located in the heart of Brits in the North West, Pieter du Preez farms together with his son, Herman, son-in-law, Martin Greyling, and daughter, Janita Greyling. Martin explains that Reinke’s good reputation convinced the family to invest in their center pivots.
“Because Reinke is known for excellent service and reliability, as well as the technology that comes with it, we were convinced. It was a big decision,” says Martin.
They added two Reinke center pivots and, during the summer, cultivate sweetcorn, seed maize, green beans, and spinach. Two more pivots are planned for the future. The pivots have resulted in more even irrigation and better vegetable quality. They can now apply exactly the right amount of water per crop, which has led to noticeable water and cost savings.
