Gundle Geo comprises a technically sharp and hands-on team who believes in showing up early and checking seams twice.

Some projects require more grit than glamour – but with every task the Gundle Geo team takes on, they prove they are consummate experts. Some of their more memorable projects include:

A landfill at Shongweni in Clifton Canyon, KwaZulu-Natal, where the teams tackled unforgiving terrain and weather, but in the end, they proved why they’ve earned their reputation.

At a crocodile farm in Lilongwe, Malawi, they battled the heat, but the smooth 2 mm beige HDPE geomembrane they installed helped to regulate temperatures for the animals.

During Phase B at the Glencore Rhovan mine near Brits in the Northwest, Gundle Geo installed 218 000 m² of textured HDPE for a Calcine Pad Extension.

One of their proudest installations was that of a 1,2 million m² Tailings Storage Facility in West Africa. The team had to mobilise materials across borders for this $4 million project – proving that they uphold their high standards and are committed to excellence wherever they go.

Looking forward to 2026, the Gundle Geo team says they are excited for what the year holds – and they are committed to continuing their excellent work and positioning themselves as geosynthetic market leaders.
