Mix Pro MM1

“The first machine making its debut this year at NAMPO is the Mix Pro MM1, a compact, single-auger mixer designed with practicality and South African farmers in mind. This robust unit mixes efficiently without breaking the bank,” Izak explains.

The MM1 is fed by an auger and powered by a powerful 7.5 kW electric motor. With a capacity of one ton (two cubic metres) and a simple discharge mechanism, it is the ideal solution for smaller-scale feed processes. M8 Bottom-Drop

Another exciting new addition to Drotsky’s NAMPO display this year is the M8 Bottom-Drop. “This model is part of the well-known M-series hammer mills, and what makes the M8 unique is its bottom-drop design—meaning you can feed it dust-free using an auger, both in and out. This not only keeps your workflow cleaner but also much healthier and more convenient—every farmer’s dream!” Izak shares.

What also sets this model apart is the addition of two magnetic plates. This clever feature helps capture any steel particles that might accidentally end up in your feed. The benefit? You protect your sieves, hammers, and other components, because that steel doesn’t move further into the process. Plus, you can be confident that your animals’ feed contains no metal particles. Simply open the plate, and all the steel sticks to the magnets—simple and effective.

Harvester-Hammer Mill

One of the true legends in Drotsky’s range, and still a staple in tough seasons like this year, is the popular harvester-hammer mill. In a season where harvests are under pressure, this smart machine offers a practical solution: you can harvest and produce feed—all in one operation.

Izak explains: “The machine is equipped with a single-row harvester head that connects directly to the hammer mill. This means you can harvest grain straight from the field and immediately begin processing. The discharge system is fully customisable—whether you’re working with bags, trailers, or bulk bags, Drotsky adapts it to your unique needs.”

What further distinguishes this model is its 3-in-1 functionality. After the harvesting season, once the harvester work is done, you simply replace the harvester head with your standard hammer mill components and use the unit as a full-function traditional hammer mill for the rest of the year. It’s cost-effective, smart, and built for sustainability—just the way farmers like it.

M100 Hammer Mill

Another giant in the Drotsky stable that has repeatedly proven itself on South African farms is the robust M100 hammer mill. This machine performs optimally when large volumes need to be processed—it easily takes in an entire round bale or even a big-pack bale, depending on your workflow.

“The M100 is also self-feeding and mills at such a pace that working with bulk bags simply isn’t practical—a storage bunker is better suited to keep up with the speed. In addition, you have the option to add a conveyor belt, which brings further automation and convenience to your operation,” says Izak.

P2000

Last but certainly not least is the P2000 mixer—a proven unit that now boasts even greater durability. This model has received a brand-new upgrade: an internal lining made of 3 mm stainless steel 3CR12, making the mixer even more resistant to wear and tear—especially under intensive usage conditions.
