From small to large: built purpose-fit for South African farmers

Jaco du Preez, New Holland’s Marketing Manager for Southern Africa, explains: “New Holland’s orchard tractor range starts with the compact 50-horsepower T3F series. Models range from 36 kW to 55 kW and are available in both two-wheel and four-wheel drive.”

In addition to the well-known orchard range, New Holland introduced the cabbed T4FS series. Equipped with a Stage V engine, this tractor uses AdBlue to deliver exceptional fuel efficiency.

“The cab has been upgraded to a spacious, comfortable flat-deck platform cab with easily accessible controls and an electronic ground speed meter, making sprayer calibration much easier,” says Jaco.

The T7 tractor series now has a new cab and bodywork.

Heavy-duty tractors step up

At the larger end of the spectrum, the TDF range includes tractors built specifically for heavy-duty work requiring significantly more horsepower. These impressive machines towered over almost every other vehicle at New Holland’s NAMPO Cape stand.

One of New Holland’s flagship ranges is the revamped T7 series, which replaces the T7000 range.

“What changed? Pretty much everything! It sports a brand-new look and a new engine. It remains a Tier 3 engine, meaning AdBlue isn’t required. As for the transmission, you now also have the choice of an ‘Auto Command’ CVT,” Jaco explains.

New Holland made these changes directly in response to feedback from the market.

Jaco concludes: “This tractor is now far better suited to the practical, real-world applications it was designed for.”
