Dirk explains that the market for higher horsepower tractors in South Africa is a bit slower, but there is still solid interest.

Dirk also says the South African market is diverse. Tractors like the 5125, a mid-range model, are doing well. This tractor delivers 126 horsepower and features a comfortable cab for the operator.
“The orchard tractors, like our 75 FK Series, are priced competitively and do especially well here in the Cape. They’re small enough and have a 15-by-15 forward and reverse transmission, which is ideal for spraying!” Dirk emphasises.
While sales of larger tractors can be challenging, he explains that a model such as the 6205, which pushes out 205 horsepower, is particularly popular with farmers looking for a tractor that can handle various tasks.
“It comes equipped with auto-steer, so it keeps a straight line in a farmer’s lands on its own. It also has a closed-centre hydraulic system and can pull planters and power hydraulic motors.”
