At the recent Hortgro Awards held in Paarl on 12 September 2025, the deciduous fruit industry gathered to celebrate and honour the cream of the crop.
The winners are pictured together with Susan Davis (Agrimark), who handed over the award, together with a R50 000 cash prize sponsored by the company, and delivered a speech in honour of their achievement.
Agrimark believes transformation must be approached systemically, not achieved in isolation, but through education, enterprise development, access to markets, finance, and strong partnerships. The business has, through the KAL Academy (established in 2008), invested more than R12 million to train over 500 small-scale and new-generation farmers. This training goes beyond technical skills to build the knowledge and confidence to run sustainable agri-businesses. The business believes that enterprise development and product support help new farmers grow, improve productivity, and access opportunities.
