In a world where agriculture is still often seen as a space for the strong, tough, and practical, the women of Gundle API prove every day that strength, determination, and expertise are certainly not tied to gender. This team of dynamic women from Springs, Gauteng, are more than just cogs in a machine – they are the heartbeat, the working hands, and the smiles behind Gundle API’s success.
Tracy Collins – Great passion for learning and growth

With nine years to her name at Gundle API, Tracy Collins is not only an internal sales coordinator, but also someone with a genuine passion for learning and growth. She has always dreamed of owning her own farm, and the knowledge she has gained at Gundle will certainly help her achieve that one day. “I believe in treating people fairly and in always understanding both sides of a story,” she says. For Tracy, Women’s Month is a reminder that every woman’s voice carries value – even in decisions where her input might too easily be dismissed.
Breggie van Breda – With humour, honesty, and a love for a fine red Massey Ferguson tractor

Breggie, who has been serving Gundle API’s clients with dedication for six years, believes that honesty and duty are her guiding principles. Her journey in agriculture, as she puts it, has been a mix of dirt roads and tar roads, but her enthusiasm and client interactions keep her motivated. Her advice? “Marry a rich farmer, work hard, and stay focused!” And yes, she simply cannot live without her Massey Ferguson.
Millandrie Roos – The smile at reception

Although only six months at Gundle, Millandrie has already left her unique mark as receptionist. Her biggest drive? Her children. She believes in keeping work and home separate, and she lives out her values of respect and support with a quiet determination that speaks of inner strength. “I taught myself how to swim… I was often thrown into the deep end, and the only way to rise above is to keep swimming,” she shares.
Natassja Myburgh – With perseverance and a heart for knowledge

For Natassja, agriculture is not just a career – it has been a passion since childhood. As a debtors’ clerk, she brings dedication, empathy, and determination to her role. Her mother taught her that knowledge is your greatest asset – and it is a lesson she carries with her. “Giving up is not an option,” she says proudly. Her child is her motivation, and she firmly believes that women should claim their place without being intimidated by male egos.
Sonja Adlen – A voice for equality

After twelve years at Gundle API, Sonja knows exactly what it feels like to be underestimated as a woman in a traditionally male industry. But she refuses to let that hold her back. Guided by her values of integrity and honesty, she works every day with an unstoppable passion. She dreams of an industry where women not only do equal work but are also treated and paid equally.
Cheri Leipoldt – With people in her heart and hope in her voice

In the HR office, Cheri brings something unique – an unshakable love for people and a belief in the positive difference she can make. “I want to make at least one person laugh every day,” she says. Even though she is still relatively new to agriculture, she has already developed a deep respect for the people and processes behind food production. Her wish for the industry? More development, more fairness – and more women who make their voices heard.
Fhulufelo Ngobeni – Determined, honest, and proud of her journey

Fhulufelo’s response to how she landed in the agricultural industry makes one smile: “BOOM – and here I am!” But behind her humour lies a woman with a strong sense of justice, a passion for reliability, and an unwavering drive to be recognised for her hard work. She believes training is essential for growth and that women must claim their place – without fear.
Women in agriculture – more than just a contribution
These women are not just administrators, clerks, or coordinators. They are knowledge-sharers, networkers, innovators, and bridge-builders – connecting factory and farm, client and product, data and action. They understand that agriculture is not only handwork… it is heart work.
Gundle API’s success story is not written by products and processes alone – but by people. And during Women’s Month, we celebrate these people: women who not only take their place but leave their mark.
