Algar Livestock Handling definitely drew attention at NAMPO Cape 2025. Alongside their livestock handling range, they also showcased two of their most popular products, designed to make every farmer’s life easier: the drone trailer and their trusted cattle neck and body clamp.
These weren’t just attractive display pieces, they are practical solutions for every modern farm.
The drone trailer
The drone trailer is one of Algar’s latest designs to take your farming drone operations to the next level.
Drones are becoming increasingly popular in agriculture, but it can be a hassle to get the drones and all your gear where you need them. Algar designed an all-in-one solution to make this farming technology even more accessible.
These trailers come in four- or six-meter lengths and are registered as flatdeck trailers. A landing platform is bolted onto the top of the trailer.
The platform is large enough to be compatible with any drone, even the large T100 drones introduced at NAMPO Cape.
The wooden surface ensures a soft landing, while the trailer’s build and design make it robust and durable. The 4 m version has storage space underneath since it doesn’t have a landing deck on top. The 6 m version includes a loading station on top, allowing you to swap batteries and refill the drone with spray materials from above.
Whether you’re spraying your own fields or a service provider covering large areas, this trailer is designed to make your work faster, safer, and more efficient.

The Algar cattle neck and body clamp
On the other side of the stand, Algar’s neck and body clamp showed why it’s one of their top sellers. This clamp is a dream for any livestock farmer.
The H-clamp design opens the full width of the alley, meaning even bulls and pregnant cows move in and out comfortably.
The neck clamp locks at any point, regardless of the animal’s neck size, and the body clamp narrows from 750 mm to as small as 300 mm, ideal for everything from large cattle to small calves. With 11 access gates and an emergency exit, your animal is fully accessible from both sides, making procedures like injections, weighing, and inspections quicker and less stressful.
What makes these products so beneficial for your farm? It’s simple: they save time, reduce labour, increase safety, and improve your farming operations. The drone trailer gives you mobility and control over precision spraying, while the neck and body clamp lets you handle cattle with minimal effort and maximum safety.
Algar Livestock Handling understands the farmer’s reality, and at NAMPO Cape, they proved it once again. To learn more about Algar’s products, visit their website at www.algar.co.za.
