At NAMPO Cape 2025, Agri Afrika showcased why they consider their Legend grain carts among the most reliable and efficient grain handling solutions in the industry. As AgriCad’s supplier in the Overberg and Southern Cape, it was a privilege for Doons Le Roux of Duivenhoks Diesel Service in Heidelberg to exhibit the CB30K grain cart at the AFRIT stand.
For the show, he brought along the standard model, which not only looks impressive but also boasts technical finesse and practical toughness.
The CB30K has an unloading capacity of 30 000 litres in just 2,1 minutes. This speed is made possible by the single 475 mm auger – a smart design choice that not only accelerates unloading but also reduces mechanical complexity. There are no chains, pulleys, or belts – just a direct drive with a heavy-duty drivetrain that lowers power requirements and protects the tractor’s drawbar.
Doons proudly explained that the CB30K comes standard with a 50-ton adjustable axle, ideal for slopes. The large tires and adjustable undercarriage further contribute to the cart’s stability and adaptability.
In terms of construction, the CB30K is built using Domex steel panels that are bolted together. Unlike welded grain carts, which often develop cracks, this design allows the cart to flex without compromising the structure. Domex steel is significantly stronger than regular steel, which increases the cart’s lifespan and reliability – an important factor for farmers who rely heavily on their equipment during the intense harvest season.
Another practical feature is the optional roll-over tarp. In cases where the cart needs to remain in the field or when unexpected rain strikes, the tarp offers protection from the elements. It rolls open and closed easily, without hassle, and is available in all three sizes, namely 23 000, 30 000, and 40 000 litres.
The CB30K’s smart GRAVITY FLOW design features a unique tank structure that prevents grain bridging and ensures a clean, complete unload. The opening for load cells is already pre-drilled on the axle, making installation quick and easy.
