At the 30th Val Farmers Day, held on 2 July 2025, Smith Power Equipment demonstrated why Deutz-Fahr tractors remain a leader in the agricultural industry.

The impressive demonstration of their tractors amazed farmers with their power, advanced hydraulic capabilities, efficient cost of ownership and maintenance. Farmers had the chance to experience first-hand why Deutz-Fahr is synonymous with German quality, innovation, and reliability.

Outstanding features of the tractors

The Deutz-Fahr tractors showcased during the event included models from the 6G series as well as the powerful 9340 TTV. What immediately stands out is the combination of stylish design and practical functionality. The 6G series offers a perfect balance between productivity, ease of use, and simple maintenance. These tractors boast an engine and gearbox built to withstand years of hard field work, while the cab is designed with operator comfort and ergonomics as a priority.

The 9340 TTV impressed farmers with its MaxiVision 2 cab and electronic control systems, which make work easier and more precise. All the tractors come with advanced features such as adjustable front axle suspension, high visibility, and precision control with Agrosky GPS systems and iMonitor2.

All this advanced technology is available as optional extras when ordering your new Deutz-Fahr tractor. Furthermore, the tractors come Auto-guide-ready, allowing farmers to choose the GPS system that best suits their needs.

Power to tackle any task

When it comes to power, Deutz-Fahr tractors are in a class of their own. The 6G series, with models ranging from 96 kW to 149 kW, use reliable Deutz TCD 2012 engines. These engines deliver a maximum torque of up to 810 Nm (for example, on the 6205G model) and a maximum power output of up to 151 kW.

The engines are designed to maintain a flat torque curve across a wide engine speed range, which means the tractors can already deliver 94% of their maximum torque at low engine speeds.

For farmers facing larger challenges, the 9340 TTV is a true powerhouse. With a Deutz TTCD 7,8-liter engine and a maximum output of 250 kW, this model delivers an impressive maximum torque of 1 372 Nm. This allows the tractor to pull heavy implements with ease, even under difficult conditions.

Hydraulic performance

A highlight of the demonstration was the tractors’ impressive hydraulic capacity. The 6G series offers a variety of options, with hydraulic pumps delivering up to 165 liters of oil per minute on the largest models. This performance makes the tractors exceptionally suitable for use with demanding hydraulic implements, ensuring smooth and quick operation even when multiple tasks are performed simultaneously.

The 9340 TTV takes it even further with a high-performance Load Sensing system that can deliver up to 210 liters of oil per minute. This massive flow ensures that there is always enough hydraulic power available, even for the largest and most demanding implements.

Both series are also equipped with electronically controlled rear lifts with a lifting capacity of up to 12 000 kg on the 9340 TTV and up to 9 700 kg on the 6G series.

Cost of ownership and maintenance

Another important advantage of Deutz-Fahr tractors is the low cost of ownership over the machine’s lifetime. The 6G series and the 9340 TTV are designed to be fuel-efficient thanks to advanced engine technologies such as the Deutz Common Rail injection system and turbochargers. Fuel consumption is further reduced by the low-rev driving speed feature, allowing the tractor to reach 40 km/h at only 1 158 rpm on the 6G series and even at just 1 300 rpm on the 9340 TTV.

Servicing is simplified by easy access to service points and robust, reliable components. The Donaldson PowerCore air filter and an aluminium cooling system help keep the engine clean and cool, even under tough working conditions. With less downtime and lower servicing costs, farmers can rest assured that their investment will deliver value for many years.
