Make dosing easy for yourself and your flock with Kanna Industries’ V-shaped conveyor. Now you can dose your flock quickly and efficiently without placing stress on your animals.
Kanna Industries’ V-shaped conveyor can be purchased as a static unit and connected to your existing kraal, or as a portable unit that can be used for multiple kraals in multiple mobile locations.
This conveyor helps farmers to have more control over their sheep or goats. When the animals move out of the crush, they calmly transfer to the V-shaped conveyor. The process does not put any stress on the animal and does not hurt them either. The animals’ legs are lifted off the ground for them to hang in the V-shape and be moved forward by the conveyor. Giving farmers more control when dosing or examining animals. The conveyor’s speed can be adjusted for the job to be completed thoroughly and to ensure that no animal is skipped.
If necessary, it is also easy to turn an animal onto its back before continuing on the conveyor belt.
For extra safety, the V-shaped conveyor belt comes with a full-length foot stop. If necessary, you can simply step on the switch to stop the belt and work on the animal. Once you are finished, you simply lift your foot and the belt starts moving again.
The width of the V-shape can be adjusted smaller or larger according to your animals’ needs. These conveyor belts come standard in 3 m lengths but can be built according to a customer’s needs and specifications.
To transport the unit from one camp to another, or between different farms, it is as simple as hooking the unit to the back of your bakkie like a normal trailor.
The conveyor belt is electrically powered and a 3-kW generator powers it easily. This unit can fold down to lie flat on the ground so your sheep do not have to struggle to climb up to the conveyor belt.
Kanna Industries can also build galvanised versions of these conveyors if a customer requires it.
